A message from Jayna

As we have welcomed in 2021, there seems to be a glimpse of optimism and lots of hope for the year despite the remaining challenges. I am hopeful that we will have the resolve to get through these difficult times, and get back to a place of “normalcy” where we are able to gather and unite around the things that bring us joy. For me, that is family, friends, community and sport!

We have seen great successes in women’s sport, even in the midst of a global pandemic – record viewership, historic sponsorships and the rise of female athletes as allies and champions for everyone. I’m confident that in 2021 the PWHPA will continue to stand up and be bold in our aspirations for our sport and for the millions of young girls who dream to follow in our footsteps.

I hope that the courage and commitment of our members will inspire others to follow their passion which means sometimes taking the more difficult road, knowing that the journey will make them stronger and the destination will be worth it. Thanks to all our supporters – Here’s to creating positive change together in 2021!
