Marcie grew up in the world of figure skating. She skated with the White Rockettes Synchronized Skating Team representing the team at the Canadian Precision Skating Competition.

Marcie’s philosophy and belief is that: Coaching the skills and fundamentals of skating is so critical in today’s ‘skating world’. “If you can’t skate, you can’t play the game.”

The hockey world has come to recognize the role of figure skating coaches in developing athletes who understand the art of edges needed to become great hockey players.

‘Learning the art of edges is a continuous process. It starts with practicing the artful details of starts, strides, and turns on edges during each session and eventually bringing them all together. It’s about turning new techniques into a long term habit!’
