Laura Stacey wears a necklace with the No. 7, her jersey number with Canada’s women’s Olympic hockey team. She’s on the Olympic roster for the first time and chasing gold both for her country and trying to add a new chapter to her family history. Her great-grandfather is Hockey Hall of Fame defenseman King Clancy. And, yes, the former Toronto and Ottawa star wore No. 7. Clancy died before Stacey was ever born, but the forward says she’s really happy she gets to wear that number for both herself and her family to continue the legacy of what he started.
